Of all the plans we have for our house, this was rather low on the list of things to do. I’m still kind of happily in shock at how I have a pretty new bathroom to walk into every morning. The project started when we decided it was due time to replace the original mirrors over the sinks with larger ones. Every time Zack and I walk into Restoration Hardware we both comment on how much we love the huge mirrors on the wall that reach up to the ceiling. In a brief moment of insanity, we thought we’d go ahead and buy the RH mirrors to hang up in our own bathroom. The ceilings in our house are so tall, it was meant to be, we said. However, reality quickly sank in when we realized a duo of said mirrors would cost us no less than $1500. Yikes. So I set off on a search for similar mirrors to suit our tastes and budget. Sadly though, they were not to be found, at least not for a reasonable price. Finally, Zack decided we could easily just build a couple of huge mirrors. I mean, the man built a floor to ceiling fireplace in two days, why didn’t we just DIY in the first place?READ MORE
