Spring has me stashing away the dark denim and black clothing while lightening up with light, airy neutrals and pops of springy color Here’s a bit of what I’m wearing and some of what I wish I was wearing right now….
one// J Crew Vintage Cotton Silk Back Tee. This tee has been going in and out of stock on the J Crew website. I’ve been impatiently waiting to use a promo code to snatch one up in grey once they have it available in my size (I refuse to ever pay full price for anything!)
two// J Crew Featherweight Cashmere Long-Sleeve Tee Obviously I invest in a lot neutrals, but this orchid color is calling my name. The perfect pop of color for spring.
three// A.L.C. Linen Blend Jacket I’ve been searching for a light colored and lightweight spring jacket, this one is lovely…and pricey.
four// 3.1 Phillip Lim Medium Pashli Pashlis are, in my opinion, definitely worth all the fuss. Especially with all the gorgeous colors available for spring. If you follow along on instagram this one will look familiar, I was fortunate enough to score a used Pashli for super cheap in the feather color I’ve long been lusting after.
five// H&M Skinny Regular Jeans On a whim I tried these jeans and was pleasantly surprised. Exactly the wash I was looking for at an amazing price.
six// Christian Louboutin Djalouzi PVC Cap-Toe Red Sole Pump In. Love. End of story.
A pair of quality black pumps are a wardrobe must have for every woman. From wearing skinny jeans to a cocktail dress, they’re versatile enough to compliment a variety of outfits and attires. I always go for a pointed toe if I’m investing in a pair of pumps that will be a wardrobe staple, as I simply feel the pointy toed silhouette is timeless classic.
Our first Christmas living together Zack bought me my first pair of Christian Louboutins. I definitely teared up, I never expected a pair anytime in my near future. What really made them special was that I never even asked for them, he knew my love affair with designer shoes and picked out a perfect pair of nude patent Rolando pumps all on his own. Once again on our one year anniversary he picked out another pair. Louboutin’s ‘So Kate’ is his newest style and is similar to the classic ‘Pigalle’, but it has a little bit more of a curve to the heel and a little bit longer toe box…and is a little bit sexier in my opinion. You can find the python pair for sale here at Neiman Marcus. Much like a piece of expensive jewelry, when investing in a pair of expensive shoes you want them to be classic in style, something you’ll want to continuously wear. Considering my wardrobe is very neutral and lacking of prints, this snakeskin pump will add a much needed wow factor to outfits that otherwise would be quite bland. Of course, Louboutin is by no means the end all be all in footwear, and there are plenty of other animal print pumps that I’m coveting right now:
