Admire: These gorgeous “playa paintings“, by artist Andre Amador. Using a rake on a sandy beach, these creations are only temporary until the tide washes them away, which I think adds to their beauty.
Eat: Kale Caesar Salad with Garlicky Chickpea Croutons from The Roasted Root. An absolutely brilliant take on caesar salad.
Needless to say, I did not lose any weight while away. We sampled all the restaurants at the Capella, as well as ordering room service and eating poolside. Everything was delicious, but our favorite place to eat was El Farallon, their cliff side restaurant that’s stocked daily with fresh seafood from local fisherman. Not only is the fresh seafood delicious, but the location, perched up on the cliff above the pacific, is amazing.
