These refried beans are perfect for large gatherings, for meal prepping, and are not only cheaper and healthier than store bought…but also tastier in our opinion! I made them for Zack’s 30th birthday party to serve with carnitas tostadas, and I’ve made them since then too to freeze and store in batches. We actually eat a lot of beans in our house, and it’s so nice to have this version all ready to go to make dinnertime quicker. We use them for refried bean tacos, in quesadillas, on sweet potato nachos, and on regular nachos too of course. They’re also delicious served by themselves as a side dish. I’m sure you can think of a million other ways to serve them too, stuffed in enchiladas, burritos, or as an alternative to meat in many recipes.
